The CODEX template is a minimalistic & streamlined system for efficiently managing and expanding your knowledge base (Second Brain).
This system is divided into four main bucket:
Gather Sources: This initial step is all about collecting and compiling relevant information from diverse sources. This can happen naturally throughout ones day as resources are encountered, or can be more deliberate.
Extract Concepts: Once sources are gathered, the second step involves breaking down the information into key concepts. Concepts are defined as isolated ways of understanding the World - Evergreen Notes.
Extract Protocols: The third phase focuses on extracting actionable protocols or systems from the sources. Protocols are defined as isolated ways of approaching the World - Action plans.
Share Insights: The final stage of the process is about sharing the insights with others (or your future self). Creating an obligation to teach the material, enforces great retention of information.
