Kit Master is a predefined template or configuration that defines a set of individual items (components) grouped together to form a kit or assembled product. It serves as the master record for managing kitting operations, where multiple SKUs are bundled, packed, or processed as a single unit for storage, sales, or production.

How to Create a Kit Master?

<aside> 💡 To create a kit master, you must ensure that the item you want to add to the kit has its kit flag set to yes.

1. Go to Master Data > Kit Master from the screen.

1. Click add.
2. Fill in the required fields.

• Select warehouse from the list.
• Select customer from the list.
• Select kit item number from the list.
• Enter a version code. Version code is to identify the parent SKU; it may have several versions if child is different with same parent SKU.
• Status is set to Active by default.
• Enter package code.

1. Click save.
2. Kit master created

How to Add Kit Details to Kit Master?

1. Continuing after the creation of kit master, scroll down and you will see the kit details section.

1. Click add.
2. Fill in the required fields.

• Kit SEQ is auto-assigned.
• Select item number as a child SKU for the kit.
• Enter package code for the UOM of child SKU used.
• Enter the quantity to group into kit.
• Status is set to Active by default.
• Dispose Flag: This flag functions on de-kit. When de-kitting, SKU with dispose flag = YES will not revert inventory into WMS. NO will revert inventory into WMS.

1. Click save.
2. Repeat step 2 to step 4 to add more items to the kit.
