Our goal is to empower profile owners (job seekers) with clear, actionable visibility into how their professional profiles are interacted with, while respecting the privacy of viewers (recruiters, hiring managers, and professional contacts).

1. Purpose of Data Transparency

Verfolia’s core mission is to eliminate the “job application black hole” by giving job seekers meaningful insight into what happens after they share their profile.

When a profile owner shares their Verfolia profile link while applying for roles or networking, Verfolia provides engagement signals that help them understand:

Whether their profile was opened
Whether it was downloaded or shared
How recruiters interact with different sections of the profile

These insights are designed to help job seekers prepare better, follow up strategically, and improve their profiles — not to expose private or sensitive information about viewers.

2. What Data is Shared and When

When someone views, downloads, or shares a Verfolia profile, the platform automatically records engagement activity.

The profile owner may receive the following insights:

Profile Activity Events
- Profile viewed
- Profile downloaded
- Profile shared
Timestamps
- Date and time of each interaction
Engagement Metrics
- Number of views
- Interaction counts
- Section-level attention and engagement duration
- Repeat visit indicators
Traffic Source (when available)
- Email, direct link, or external platforms (e.g., LinkedIn)

⚠️ Important clarification:

Verfolia does not display personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, or company) of profile viewers unless that information is voluntarily provided by the viewer through separate communication outside the platform.

3. Viewer Privacy & User Control

Verfolia is designed to respect viewer privacy while still offering meaningful engagement insights to profile owners:

No Login Required to View Profiles:

Recruiters and viewers can access profiles without creating an account.
No Identity Disclosure by Default:

Viewers are not personally identified to profile owners unless they explicitly choose to reveal themselves through external actions (e.g., emailing, calling, or messaging the profile owner).
Aggregated Insights:

Engagement data is presented in an aggregated and behavioral format, focusing on interaction patterns rather than individual identities.
Profile Owner Control:

Profile owners control what content is displayed on their profile and can edit or remove information at any time.

4. Data Security and Privacy

Verfolia takes data protection seriously and applies industry-standard safeguards, including:

Secure data storage and encryption
Access controls and monitoring
Infrastructure designed to prevent unauthorized access

All data handling practices comply with Verfolia’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection regulations.
