The Angels Way community was designed to have a life cycle of 10 years.

By the end of this period, the community will have to decide the next step, or if nothing is determined, the current rules will apply.

All current rules outlined on this page are strictly assured and implemented. However, if these rules have to change for any reason, an AW rules vote must be approved.

Current rules

The current rules state that the outcome of Angels Way after 10 years is:

Alternative Future

Some examples of alternative outcomes for Angels Way after 10 years are below. The community must approve an AW rules vote to implement any of these alternatives..

The minimum viable lifeline

Instead of donating the remaining equity to the Founder, with no financial gains, AW can do a new investment round for the needed capital to maintain AW's costs for another 5 years.

For example: Angels can invest an additional 100.000€ for 10% equity in Angels Way to support the running cost for another 5 years.

The internal fund extend

To continue investing in more startups, AW can do a new investment round for the necessary capital to invest in more startups.

For example: Angels can invest an additional 1.200.000€ for 50% equity in Angels Way to continue the AW mission.

The external fund extend and increase

To continue investing in more startups, AW can do a new investment round for the necessary capital to invest in even more startups.

For example: Angels and new outside investors can invest an additional 10.200.000€ for 50% equity in Angels Way to continue the AW mission and invest in more startups.

Other outcomes

These are just a few examples of what can happen. The final decision lies solely on the AW Angels.
