What is Compassion?

Having self-compassion means seeing my wellbeing as equal to the wellbeing of others. This means taking care of my own body, mind, and spirit in order to live at my fullest capacity.

It is important that I prioritize my own wellbeing over the wellbeing of others. If I am not well, I am not able to take care of others. As instructed by all flight attendants before take-off: "Put your own oxygen mask on before helping someone else."
