<aside> 🚧 N+ Platform is a modular, open-source bike shoe platform for the changing world. Built for bikepacking and tourist. A single shoe for riding, hiking, and making camp without sacrificing performance or comfort. The pleated rigid core delivers power to the pedals while the toe is free to articulate for off-bike endeavours.

This N+ platform is a new kind of cycling shoe created as an open source project. It explores product ownership, reparability and distributed manufacturing. It's an extendible lifecycle product system.
The original modular, open-source bike shoe platform for the changing world. N+ is an additive-enabled, serviceable design, customized with 3D printing and domestic sewing machines. Forgo traditional shoe construction for minimal tooling and adhesive-free assembly. N+ explores digital manufacturing and consumers changing expectations of product ownership.
The shoe was designed with bike packing and other situations where a stiff pedal interface and walkability are both desired. It was created as a final project by Marcs Wilkinson, Product Design graduate at the Wilson School of Design in 2017.
