🧑🏫
For those who do not know Marcin and Kasia – a bit about them and their teaching approach
(The traditional instructor bio is on the last subpage, as usual.)
For over 20 years, our “specialty” has been teaching adults.
For 12 years, Marcin taught competitive ballroom couples (people who started as adults), and Kasia taught and still teaches social ballroom dancing.
Competitive ballroom is all about very detailed movement analysis and the question: “how to do it so that it works”. Marcin’s couples achieved some of the best results in Poland among dancers who started their ballroom journey as adults (with no earlier dance background).
After we fell in love with West Coast Swing, we built the biggest WCS school and community in this part of Europe.
Our students are developing faster and faster, moving up through the levels, and dancing in every division, including All-Star.
Our approach is to give you tools during group classes that you understand and can practice later, so you can use specific techniques and concepts in your dancing.

🧳
What to bring
- Shoes for classes (comfortable, flat, ideally with dance soles if you have them)
- A loooooot of strength and positive energy
- Understanding that we’re trying to turn the classes into a logical sequence, so we all agree in advance that you do not skip classes
- Water and snacks (we provide 2 meals)
- Outdoor shoes, if you want to take advantage of the nearby forest

🧑🤝🧑
Who is it for?
The most important thing: there will be no “from zero” group.
To join, you should have at least one year of experience in regular West Coast Swing
IMPORTANT:
The final group split will be decided by us, after registration closes. We always try to divide groups in the way that works best for you. This means you may be moved up, but also down..
Preliminary group description:
- G1 – people dancing for 12–36 months, or this level was recommended by your instructors.
For Skalski Dance students: P1–P3 (level from the season right before the event)
- G2 – people dancing for at least 3 years (in WSDC terms: recommended for dancers with Novice and Intermediate points), or this level was recommended by your instructors.
For Skalski Dance students: P5–PKP (P4 may end up in either group depending on the level mix of a given trip)
Regularity and how often you dance also matters.
That is why the final program is set only once we’ve seen who signed up. Till then the group split above is only a rough guideline.

🗓️
What’s included in the program?
- As always, lots of technique – we always have many new ideas we want to share with you
- Each day has a different theme (but we still want the whole week to be a logical sequence of topics)
- Guided practice sessions (with feedback) + Q&A (more about the practice sessions below – a very important part of the program)
- If the trip has a wide level range, dancers at a clearly higher level may get an extra hour for an upgrade
- Of course, parties every day – but not all night (until around 2:00)
- A relaxed day in the middle of the trip, to let your mind and body rest

Practice sessions with feedback
We introduced practice sessions two years ago, and the results exceeded our wildest expectations.
Here is the idea:
- You practice what we worked on in class, and we give you individual feedback. Sounds simple, but:
- The work-focused atmosphere and everyone’s engagement make these sessions highly effective
- We are planing at last 2 hours. After that there is a break before the party. It often turns out that for us there is no break, because we want to answer every single question. We usually leave the dance floor only when we are completely exhausted. Often the practice session lasted 3.5 hours.
- It is hard to describe. You have to experience it.
