Lifeline records your activity (sessions, meetings, breaks, and any labels you add) and stores it locally on your Mac. This data is not uploaded to our servers.
The only information that leaves your Mac is optional and limited:
- Anonymous usage analytics, through Segment, to help us understand how Lifeline is used. This is on by default, and you can turn it off any time in Preferences > Account. It covers aggregate usage, not the content of your sessions or your labels. If you choose to share your email, it is linked to this anonymous analytics profile.
- Phone notifications, if you turn them on, send a short "break over" message through ntfy.sh. They contain no activity data.
We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.
