Cube Translator was released in February 2023. Over the next 8 months, we received a lot of user feedback, based on which we made significant functional innovations, interaction optimizations, and visual iterations. We are now officially launching Cube Translator 2.0 version:

  1. Launched the lexicon database, which supports both local and online documentation. Now, you can collaborate with planners/translators to maintain and use the project's lexicon!
  2. Launched the text export and online table translation functions. No more manual input of entries is required, seamlessly replacing lexicon translation platform for more convenient usage!
  3. Enhanced the AI translation assistant feature, allowing for refining, simplifying, expanding, and other secondary processes of translation results. It also supports custom prompts!
  4. Updated the interaction and visual design, making the interface more streamlined, efficient, and user-friendly! </aside>

Chapter 01

I**. How to use：**

01. Export Text

a. Export as an online document

In the project, manually listing the text appearing in the interface may lead to omissions. Cube Translator supports batch exporting text entries from design drafts, which improves efficiency, provides easier operation, and reduces the risk of omissions.

<aside> 💡 Operation Path:

  1. Create a shared document
    1. Create a new sheet in Google Drive
    2. Set the visibility to "Anyone with the link" as "Editor" in Share, and copy the link
  2. Export to document
    1. Go back to Figma
    2. Search and open Cube Translator in the Assets panel
    3. Click on the first table translation function (Translate from Xlsx/Google Sheet)
    4. Click on "Export into Google Sheet" at the bottom
    5. Select the export object
    6. Set the target language for translation (if you have a need for translating the design draft with imported translation entries in the future)
    7. Paste the copied sheet address from step 1-b in the bottom address box
    8. Click on Export
    9. Done!
