iPal Data Upload Documentation

Welcome to iPal again, where your data contributes to decentralized knowledge collaboration!

Introduction:

iPal empowers users to contribute valuable data and support the decentralization movement.

This documentation provides a step-by-step guide on the data upload process, ensuring a seamless experience for users who want to share or monetize their datasets with the iPal community.

The iPal data upload process is designed to be user-friendly and customizable. However, it's better to perform the initial upload and setup on a desktop computer, and setup the width and height for readability.

By following these steps, users can contribute datasets, control privacy settings, and share valuable information with their community. For any issues or further assistance, please refer to the troubleshooting section or contact our support team via Telegram.

1. Authentication:

Before initiating the data upload process, users must authenticate their account using Web3 wallets or social media logins, as detailed in the iPal Authentication Documentation.

2. Uploading Data:

• Upload process & formats:
  • Users can also import data directly from Excel or Google Sheets (CTRL+V).
  • iPal will support data upload in the following formats soon: CSV (Comma-Separated Values), SSV (Semicolon-Separated Values), TSV (Tab-Separated Values), and XSLX (Microsoft Excel).
• Step 1: Create a Knowledge vault
  • Click on the "Create a Knowledge Vault" button within the iPal platform (need to be logged in)
  • Set a name (i.e. title) and description of your vault (Optional: Upload a banner)
  • Click on “Create”
• Step 2:
  • Upload the information you want to publish or sell.
  • Adjust the width & height for readability.
  • Apply your own color code: Change the background color of cells to highlight Pros and Cons, share your opinion, status, or how sure you are.

3. Tips & Configuration Options:

• Title and Description:

  • Provide a title and description for your dataset to give users context and understanding. Every vault MUST have a name, banners and description are optional.

• Privacy Controls:

  Users can setup privacy controls for their datasets already.

  • Set a high price
  • Add Co-Owner(s) to your vault (coming soon…)
  • Options include public, protected (everyone sees the base, and the data schema that exists), and private, which can be shared with specific users who can request or buy.
