iPal leverages the power of Web3 wallets such as MetaMask, along with account abstraction for seamless and secure user authentication. This documentation provides a comprehensive guide on how authentication is implemented in iPal.

• Web3 Account Abstraction
  • iPal supports several ways to sign up for efficient onboarding. Currently supported platforms include Google, Facebook, X. Additionally, Email, and Phone number, and other options can be used.
  • Choose your preferred social media platform.
  • Upon login for the first time with the chosen social media account, a wallet is created.
  • The authentication process is seamless and your account on iPal is now linked to your chosen social media profile in a secure and privacy-preserving way,

Security Measures:

• Encryption:
  • All authentication processes are encrypted, ensuring the security of user data.
• Two-Factor Authentication (2FA):
  • We recommend enabling 2FA on your Web3 wallet (Metamask and all others) for an additional layer of security. For more information & security advice we recommend Ledger Academy.

Troubleshooting:

• Connection Issues:
  • If you encounter issues connecting your Web3 wallet, ensure that the wallet is properly installed and updated.
  • Clear the browser cache and try again.
