Ufaan (उफान), meaning ebullience, is the musical eruption of a small-town soul who's carried years of emotion, failure, frustration — and hope. "Ufaan” a personal storm that's been building silently, and now, it pours out as sound.
The sound of Ufaan has evolved over nearly a decade in our struggle to keep the music alive. It's like a dusty diary forgotten in a garage, now reopened and rediscovered. It all started when Somanshu moved to Pune in 2014. From writing on rooftops in Gwalior while watching sunsets, from raw acoustic sounds to a folkish, alt-pop rock blend, Ufaan invokes a feeling of freedom.
Ufaan explores themes of longing, nostalgia, and inner growth — a true reflection of what it feels like to be away from home, struggles, friendship, nostalgia, missing home, introspection, emotional unraveling, failures, rediscovering belief, the celebration of life, It’s a carefree rebellion, and the ache of searching for what's lost.
