How We Developed Our Clusters

At the start of the project, each partner explored the possibilities of creating a shared community space in their region. This process was guided by both the needs within their own organisation and the specific characteristics of the neighbourhood they operate in.

Building Local Case Studies

To understand the potential and the challenges in each area, partners conducted a SWO-ART analysis and created a power map.

These tools helped uncover:

Based on these insights, partners identified promising locations and drafted initial objectives. These early findings formed the foundation for the local strategies that will guide the development of each future community hub

From Case Studies to Thematic Clusters

During a joint working week in Lisieux, partners presented their case studies to each other. By comparing local contexts, they discovered shared challenges and complementary strengths. This exchange naturally led to the creation of four thematic clusters, each representing a set of recurring needs across regions:

  1. Communication & Community Building

How we connect with residents, foster belonging, and strengthen community ties.

  2. Management

What is needed to operate community spaces effectively and sustainably.

  3. Financial Opportunities & Challenges

Exploring funding possibilities and navigating financial constraints.

  4. Advocacy & Stakeholder Management

Engaging with local actors, building alliances, and ensuring long-term support.
