Level Guidelines
Structure Rules
- Goals & Checkpoints should always be visible at the Start
- The main path needs always to be clear
- No Path should be horizontally (180° to the left or right)
- It should always lead diagonally
- Every Island that blocks the way on a mandatory route needs to be avoidable with slow velocity
- Stars (Collectibles) are to be placed as a reward for
Core Elements
- Ramps
- Every Ramp needs to feel “special”, meaning it should either open new path options or make existing ones more unique
- Blocker
- Should be one of the most often used assets in any Level, for challenging the players
- Island
- Islands need to be placed at positions, where it can also be considered a lesser Ramp
- Launcher
- Is mandatory at the beginning of each Level
- Placement should allow player to decide where they want to go
