The PosturePal (The Ballet Posture Monitor) was created to help dancers improve their technique with smart and accessible feedback. In ballet, posture and alignment are everything, but mirrors and videos only show part of the picture, and instructors can’t always give one-on-one corrections. Our project solves this by combining mechanics, electronics, and software to give dancers an objective score of how accurate their posture is, helping them train more independently and safely.

The system uses a smartphone mounted on a motorized car that runs along a 180º rail around the dancer, capturing their movements from different angles. A mobile app processes the footage, evaluates posture on a **0–100 scale**, and provides a personal dashboard with history and PDF reports. With this, dancers gain a clear, multi-angle view of their performance and practical tools to track progress over time.
