Humanitarian AI Strategy • Responsible Innovation • Locally Led Digital Transformation

Hi, I’m Lucy, a Humanitarian AI Strategist and AI Ethics Researcher.

I currently work at the Humanitarian Leadership Academy within Save the Children UK, and am undertaking a research fellowship at the Institute for Ethics in AI, hosted by Oxford University.

This site brings together three strands of my work:

Together, these strands reflect my approach to responsible, locally-led AI spanning practice, research and strategic advice across the humanitarian ecosystem.

People first, technology second. Always.

About Me

I am a humanitarian AI strategist committed to reshaping the humanitarian ecosystem through ethical, locally led innovation and leadership.

I design strategic frameworks, technology pilots and AI learning approaches that enable organisations to adopt AI responsibly and with confidence.

My work centres on evidence, experimentation and power-aware design, ensuring that AI strengthens equity rather than inequality in low-resource and crisis-affected settings.
