Case Study 1: AI Ready

Local humanitarian AI implementation framework. Flagship humanitarian AI strategy.

AI Ready is a multi pillar strategic framework that supports humanitarian and development actors, national AI systems and influence humanitarian AI policy to adopt AI responsibly, ethically and in ways that strengthen local leadership. It encapsulates my anticipated long term end goal as a mechanism for a truly localised humanitarian system, facilitated by locally-led AI.

The Humanitarian Leadership Academy is piloting this approach in 2026, with the view to scaling its potential in 2027.

AI Ready is my strategic vision for the future of humanitarian and development AI beyond programmatic aspirations.

Why this case study matters

AI Ready demonstrates my ability to design an AI strategy applicable at different levels of the humanitarian ecosystem, embed responsible technology principles, and create structured pathways for safe, ethical and context-aware AI adoption.

It showcases my strength in combining systems thinking, evidence generation, facilitation, and innovation design to support organisations exploring frontier technologies in complex, low-resource environments.

The framework reflects my broader commitment to locally led digital transformation and to ensuring that emerging technologies strengthen - rather than undermine - equity, accountability and inclusion.

Case Study 2: Kaya Match

AI enabled humanitarian talent matching platform

Kaya Match is an AI-enabled matching concept designed to connect humanitarian learners with locally led opportunities for coaching, mentoring, leadership development and surge support.

The platform explores multiple matching pathways - including vector similarity, structured feature-based logic and machine learning approaches - to build a responsible, context-aware matching ecosystem across the global humanitarian workforce.
