Like many others, I’m busy figuring out how to best make a “living” leveraging the skills I already have (opposed to feeling like I need to acquire a certificate/new degree to “prove” my credibility)

Now I hate to leverage organizational budgets - the reality is there is quite a bit of leverage in working with the “team unit” regardless of the tool/platform being implemented.

I’ve had the idea of helping organizations lead implementations for quite some time. In fact, I’ve been sent into organizations on a billable basis by previous employers.

I’m looking to shift implementation towards the platforms I already use and I’m willing to be more abstract about what a “platform” is.

• dance - implementing “dance” in your organization
  • previously, it was envisioned as going on-site (or being an off-site) and facilitating [[Dance Like Nobody’s Watching]] playshops. A sticking point has always been what is the value of such an activity - where is it intended to go?
  • these days, encouraging people to join online and keep their bodies moving (esp when dance venues and gyms are closed)
• Evernote - I am certified as a consultant and to be honest, the “team” offering is rather weak. Evernote’s strengths lies in its ability to inspire one to digitize your personal stream of information. Evernote’s lack of concurrency makes collaborating on notes awkward and cumbersome. The user community has been asking for this for quite some time.
• Icebreaker - I am currently supporting BAmF in hosting a monthly event and we are figuring out best practices, the design process, and learning to make the process turnkey (shout the stress!)
• Gather - while I am not part of the implementation team per se, it is nice to find a development team that is responsive and technical. I feel like a technology liaison in many ways.
• Notion
  • I’ve been an advocate for wiki for over 15 years and online citizen for 29 years.
  • I encourage people to create a personal wiki
  • I look for new ways to inspire people to collaborate together online Emergent Partnerships
  • I’ve found Digital Gardening champions
  • I’ve discovered cutting edge platforms like Roam Research
  • it is important to me that team and organizations use Notion for their internal “intranet” and have a public .
  • I, foremost, feel like Notion needs to launch an effort to corral amazing content so it is browsable and searchable (too many silos of content, including Notion feature requests!)
  • I’m willing to put a stake in the ground and experiment building a Legacy Commons - a commons worth building.
  • I also see startup teams (and communities) seeding their Intranet through the use of Notion (see an interconnected network of stories)
