Front Office applications: Improving Internal Teams’ Efficiency. Flows Redesign

HousingAnywhere is a global rental platform that connects tenants with landlords, primarily for mid- to long-term stays.

Its internal teams — Customer Support, Finance, Trust & Safety, Sales, and Marketing — use a custom Admin Panel (Front Office application) to manage bookings, support tenants and landlords throughout their rental journey, and handle payments.

Summary of My Work

As the product designer, I was responsible for improving HousingAnywhere's Admin Panel. Over the years, the tool had grown without a clear structure or ownership, leading to confusing navigation, missing data, and excessive manual work.

My role focused on analyzing internal workflows and approaches with daily tasks, finding pain points, and redesigning the internal Admin Panel system to streamline their tasks.

As a result, the Admin Panel evolved into a central tool for daily operations, helping teams work more efficiently while reducing time spent and errors.

In close collaboration with Product Owners, engineers, and internal teams — including Customer Support, Finance, and Trust & Safety — we made the following improvements:

Booking Change Request (BCR) Tool: Automating cancellations and refunds

Redesigned how internal teams handle booking changes and refunds.

Create an interface for the tool that centralizes requests and automates decisions based on booking data, replacing error-prone manual work across multiple tools. Just in time for peak student season!
