🔥
1️⃣ Conducted 5 applied product & UXR projects.
- Topics included UX workspace design, food sustainability, assistive robotics, HRI, and global inclusion — each contributing to measurable learning or published insights.
2️⃣ Represented UW → (TMU) as exchange scholar. ✈️
- Attended and co-led meetings at 5+ leading robotics labs and companies (e.g., Mujin, Piezo Sonic), contributing to Japan-U.S. knowledge exchange.
3️⃣ Co-authored peer-review HRI conference paper.
- Presented a novel VR-based interface for pick-and-place tasks at HRI ‘24.
4️⃣ Drove student support as committee leader.
- Led 20+ events for my cohort. Collaborated with staff and impacted 500+ attendees while managing $5K+ budget for student enrichment.
5️⃣ Delivered insights viewed/shared by 1000+ professionals annually.
- Shared applied UX findings via blogs, research briefs, and academic portals (ACM, Medium, Notion).

🔍
1️⃣ Bridging theory & product reality.
Projects had to go beyond academic rigor and actually deliver actionable insights, prototypes, or validation, despite short timelines and shifting team scopes.
2️⃣ Prioritizing design for diverse user groups.
With global user populations (students, designers, elderly, under-resourced communities), understanding cross-cultural usability and behavior differences was critical.
3️⃣ Navigating unfamiliar technologies.
Learning to work with robotics, AIoT, and VR HRI interfaces required fast technical adaptation, even when I wasn’t the lead engineer.
4️⃣ Managing multi-stakeholder collaboration.
Coordinated with researchers, companies (e.g., Microsoft, Kawasaki), community-led committees, and over 1000+ professionals/stakeholders across various initiatives.
