Jostens Yearbook Avenue Information
Congrats to the Spectrum Staff on selling 150 books for the 2024-2025 Academic Year!
Welcome to the Spectrum Yearbook! This is the official page where you can find assigned tasks, track your progress, and find links to any material you need. Each section will contain categories specific to its context (student life will contain campus activities, sports will list the teams, etc.) so everything should be easily accessible! If there are any questions, read the commonly asked questions, or contact the editor, Piper, directly! Meetings will happen once a week and will be listed in the GroupMe chat and here as well.

Helpful Tips: The Spectrum Yearbook works under the OSAGL office, if you have any questions if Piper is not available, go to the office and ask Cyd or Trevor! They are both our advisors. The OSAGL office has relocated to the back of CUB on the 2nd floor if you’re having trouble finding it. The office is closed on the weekends, so if you need a camera, get it before 5pm on Friday or else, no camera.

Q1) What do I do if I can’t find the photos I need? Don’t be afraid to email! Ask around if anyone was at said event and see if they know someone who took pictures. Instagram is always a good place to go as well.
Q2) How do I know when events will happen? All events should be listed in engageGettysburg! There is a huge calendar and filters are available to use to help you find what you’re looking for! Dates will also be listed in the pages specific to your assigned topic.
Q3) Where can I contact Piper when she is AWOL? Instagram (piper_pokorny), email (pokopi01@gettysburg.edu), go to OSAGL, or just knock on International House.
Q4) Where can I get a camera? OSAGL is usually where all Yearbook cameras are held; our advisor, Cyd, should have them with her at the front desk; if they are not there, contact Piper and she will check the Yearbook office. If you still are unable to locate a camera, ask the staff!
Q5) What if I’m unsure on staying on the Yearbook staff? Completely okay! College is about exploring different fields and finding what works for you. If you have other priorities, that is totally fine! Just remember to give Piper a heads up, she is less forgiving if you ghost the club!

Taking photos at an event? Not sure what to use as a caption? Get a quote! Either ask for a quote at an event (get persons name) or email someone you know was there! Makes for great journalism!
