Hey Thomas, thank you so so so much for helping out with our logo and branding. The entire team really appreciates you.

I was looking at your work and liked the direction we were heading, I think that we can both work together to create something really high quality here.

Main points of feedback for the logo

Generally, I think the work done here is quite good. The colours are nice but I do wonder if we can find a clean pallet for these colours that has a highlight colour, a tertiary colour, and some other complimentary colours that make sense if we are building a website, or designing other posters.

Would an orange work with these colours? Or a light blue?

Cloud Logo

• I know Will had sketches for a cloud concept with the logo, but seeing it realized (which artistically is done quite well) I’m realizing that it doesn’t exactly align with our branding.
• I enjoy how you incorporated the Q with the cloud, and I wonder if there’s something else you could do that’s similar but with an icon that better aligns with our brand.

• Additionally, I’m worried about the complexity of the logo. For social media pfp’s the simpler the better as intricate details often get lost as the images themselves are quite small.
• I do think that the Q by itself would be kinda boring, but is there a potential for a pictoral mark or an abstract mark that could represent us?

I agree that the cloud isn’t exactly aligned with our image. I think the iteration here could be removing cloud, and boolean cut the gear out of the Q - with the leaf dead centre. This way we retain the gear, leaf and Q without being as cliche as before. Essentially, place a gear with the teeth overlapping with the inside of the Q, then cut it out, leaving a Q with gears on the inside and a leaf. Just an idea, honestly I like the Q how it is though atm.

Word mark

• I enjoy this wordmark a lot. Inspired from Sebastien’s design a while back. In the top right corner he had an abstract mark ( a star) that we could use as an alternative to the word mark. Could you try exploring what that may look like?

  

  • it was like this, but taller and slimmer. of course, this is inspiration but do you see da vision?

• Is there a possibility to swap out the gear for something else that represents engineering? Or clean technology rather than a gear? It feels cliche.

• I like the rounded corners of the font you chose! what is the font btw?
