This Privacy Policy describes how Drink-N ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, shares, retains, and lets you delete your information when you use our mobile application. By using Drink-N you agree to the practices described here.
Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive an opaque Apple identifier (the sub claim from Apple's identity token) and, only if you choose to share them with us via the Apple sign-in dialog, your name and email address. We do not see your Apple ID password.
Profile information. A nickname (chosen by you) and a profile photo (uploaded by you).
Compliance flags. When you accept our Terms of Service and confirm your age at sign-up, we record the EULA version, the timestamp of acceptance, and a flag indicating you have confirmed you are 21+.
Drink logs. For each entry you create: a photo, the drink type you tagged (beer, wine, spirits, cocktail, or cider), the timestamp, an optional free-text note (max 140 characters), and an optional location label.
Location data. If — and only if — you grant the app foreground location permission and tap "Use my location" while logging a drink, we record approximate coordinates with that entry. Coordinates are blurred to roughly 100-metre accuracy before they are stored so the precise place you were is not retained. Location is never collected in the background, never collected without an explicit tap from you, and never recorded outside of the moment you log a drink.
Social graph. A record of which other Drink-N users you follow, which groups you create or join, and which users you have blocked or reported. Block and report records are necessary for moderation.
Moderation data. When you file a report on objectionable content, we store the report's content type, content identifier, reason, optional free-text detail, your user ID as reporter, and timestamps. When you block another user, we store the blocker, blocked, and timestamp.
Operational logs. Standard server logs (HTTP method, path, response code, duration, no body) for debugging and abuse detection. These are retained for up to 30 days.
We do not collect: precise GPS history, contacts, calendar, microphone, motion data, advertising identifiers, or any data we don't directly need to operate the features above.
We use your information solely to:
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling. We do not share your data with data brokers.
