Overview

The data analytics component will be undertaken in PowerBI.

A dashboard will be created to easily display advanced analytics regarding to utility spend and rates.

Information Bar - Top

Invoice - Displays the current invoice number of a selected invoice. If no invoices are selected display “-”. This is to be able to single out certain invoices quickly when drilling down.

Invoice Total - This displays the invoice total for the selected invoice, displaying 0.00 if no invoices are selected. This is so the user can quickly see what the associated value to a selected invoice was.

Average Monthly Cost - This outputs the monthly average cost per month. It allows the user to quickly anticipate what their average spend for the month is, and gives an indication of the magnitude of the next month’s invoice.

Average Invoice Cost - This takes the average cost of all the invoices selected. (Based on slicers). It quickly displays how much on average the user spends on utilities.

Total Spend - This displays the total amount the user has spent on invoices, displaying the scale of spend over a lifetime.

Graphs - Middle

Invoice cost by utility type - The stacked bar graph shows the invoice costs of invoices per month in a stacked bar. This allows the user to see their costs over the timeframe, and also the distribution of their costs for the different utility types.
