1) ✅ Minimum Commitments (non-negotiables)
Board members are expected to meet the following minimum commitments:
- >50% of all quarterly board meetings (4 per year)
- >50% of all CreativeTypes Board Retreats (1 per year, measured over a 4-year period)
- ≥1 x CreativeTypes in-person event (typically 1–4 per year)
- ≥1 x CreativeTypes regional event activation co-host (1 per year)
🎉 What counts as an “in-person event”?
Any CreativeTypes-sponsored gathering or a board-member-led/region-led activation that’s explicitly part of CreativeTypes community building (co-hosting, convening, meaningful attendee experience).
2) 🔍 Board Member Criteria (what we’re looking for)
A) 💛 Values alignment
We’re building a values-led community and governance culture. Board members should be:
- Community-minded: generous with time, thoughtful in how they show up
- Inclusive + respectful: creates safety, expands belonging, no ego games
- Integrity-led: especially in partnerships, money, and decision-making
- Mission-aligned: genuinely believes in CreativeTypes and what it’s here to shift
