ℹ️ While we have a conflict resolution process, we do not have a policy that specifies how someone would be removed/ineligible for the Dream DAO. This idea explores what that could look like.

Civics Unplugged has Community Guidelines that can be found here. We have been using this process for over 3 years and have only had a couple of instances of removal from the community. On a high level, the process is:
- On your first violation of community guidelines, you will receive a written notice from one of our community moderators. You will have an opportunity to appeal if you feel that you were misunderstood or misrepresented.
- On a second offense, you will be asked to leave the community. Your account will be suspended for an indefinite amount of time. You will have an opportunity to apply again in the future and make your case as to why you should rejoin the community.
Because Dream DAO sits underneath the legal entity of Civics Unplugged, and because virtually all Dream DAO Builders come from Civics Unplugged, adhering to the same process makes sense.
This would mean:
- If conflict cannot be solved through the Conflict Resolution process and an individual continues to disrupt the DAO, the same process is followed for Community Guideline violations. This process will be facilitated by the DAO Council.
- If someone is removed from the Civics Unplugged community for multiple violations, they are not eligible to apply as a Dream DAO Builder and if they are a current Builder, they will lose their membership. They can apply to be a Dream DAO Builder in the future. (Anyone removed from Civics Unplugged before this proposal was passed will also be ineligible for Dream DAO.)
