Charlotte was born with a golden spoon, loved by her family, and was raised in a religious household. She once offered a rose to Jacques in pity without knowing his name when she was young. Although Francois is Jacques’ abuser, Charlotte still treats him like she treats others and understands his struggles. She can differentiate him from Jacques and acknowledges his hard work. However, she eventually becomes frightened of Francois after he threatened her.
Charlotte loves and trusts her older sister. She would always come to her for advice and to talk many things with. It is said that she was always clingy to her when they were young children. Charlotte is also protective of Marguerite and is willing to do anything to prevent her life from getting ruined by Francois.
