Badge’s Component

Badge Domain

Badge Domain represent Area of Expertise for certain Technology or Branch of Knowledge. Each Badge is tied to one Badge Domain

An area of expertise is considered to have their own domain if they fulfill one of these criteria :

Different Branch of Knowledge that make it possible for crew to be expert at one and disregard the other one. Example : Backend vs Frontend
Different Technology Stack such as Framework, Game Engine, Programming Language, etc.
Advanced Knowledge that required a dedicated crew to be an expert for that domain. Ex : AI, Network

Badge Tier

Badge Tier represent mastery level for a certain domain.

Rank	Grade Equivalent	Expertise Level	Description
Diamond	7	Master	Competency that is required for World Level Crew
Platinum	6	Expert	Competency that is required for Director / Principal Level Crew
Gold	5	Advanced	Competency that is required for Senior Level Crew
Silver	4	Intermediate	Competency that is required for Intermediate Level Crew
Bronze	3	Beginner	Competency that is required for Junior Level Crew

Badge Competency

Badge Competency is a list of Competency that is required to own a certain Badge.

Badge Competency have 4 attribute :

Competency Name : Name for this topic
Key Capability : What capability is expected from crew who master this competency
Related Material : What material should be read to master this topic
Necessity : What measurement method is used to review capability for this

Badge Expert

Badge Expert are crew who own the highest Badge Tier in that domain. Badge expert is the one who define Badge Tier and Badge Competency for each Badge Tier.

Process Related to Badge System

Badge Creation

Badge Expert will help Tech Department to create Badge Tier and Badge Competency List for each Badge Tier.

Badge Claim

Crew can claim a badge if they fulfill all Badge Competency for that Badge.

Crew Placement

Crew Placement will use Badge as main indicator for Matchmaking.

Salary Measurement

Salary will be measured based on Crew Grade and Badge owned by them.
