This memo explains the practical journey of contributors at TheSummeet and how our Points system works in real-world application.
The Contributor Path: How It Actually Works
1. Join & Test the Waters

- Complete an initial contribution without pre-agreed compensation
- We may need to sign the Collaboration Agreement to cover confidentiality and IP even if no pre-determined value of contribution has been agreed.
- Purpose: We're gettign to know each other to see if we can work together.
2. Formalize the Relationship
- After successful initial contribution, define regular collaboration terms
- Sign the Collaboration Agreement (if not already done)
- Agree on:
- Contribution scope
- Expected time availability
- Market value of your work
- Points conversion rate (typically 1 EUR = 2 Points)
3. Track & Review Contributions
- Record your work as you go (time, tasks, outcomes)
- Monthly retrospective meetings where:
- Team reviews all contributions
- Peer-level discussion of actual value created vs. estimates
- Adjustments made by consensus when possible
- Final allocation determined within Teams (with CEO sign-off if necessary)
4. Earn Points & Progress
- Points officially allocated monthly based on retrospective review
- Regular updates show your total Points and percentage of Contributor Pool
