Intro

Since the very beginning, our mission with Elrond has been simple but ambitious: to build the most advanced blockchain in the world. An internet-scale infrastructure that solves real problems for real people.

Ever since we embarked on this journey, we’ve been waking up every single day with one thought in mind: how can we make the network better? How can we push the architecture, the infrastructure, the economics forward?

Still today, we’re working on this with the same drive. 12–14 hour days. Midnight meetings. Flying across the world to meet potential new partners. Not seeing our families for weeks on end.

For the past months, I’ve been spending three weeks a month away from home. Traveling to the US. Putting all time and energy into one goal: finding a way to win.

Over the years, we’ve made plenty of progress. And plenty of mistakes. There are many things I wish we had done differently. Sooner. Or not at all. But that’s part of the process. Learning and adapting is the only way forward. Everyone has to go through the process. And when they’re ready, the world opens up.

In the past, we often wished we could communicate more about the things we were working on. Because many of these things were, and are, extremely exciting. But unfortunately, this isn’t always possible. And that often leads to frustration. We know that feeling well. We feel it too. Sometimes more than anyone else. We wish we could share more. We wish we could get everything done in a day. But through all these years, and especially the tough ones, we’ve learned that this just isn’t always possible.

We’ve sometimes made the mistake of getting too excited ourselves, creating expectations no one could ever meet. But we hope you’ve noticed a shift in recent months. A shift toward simply delivering. Of course, we’ll still build anticipation around big announcements (and a few are coming in the months ahead), and from time to time will intentionally break the script, but we also want to be transparent about the milestones we’re hitting, one by one.

And so, one good step, stacked on top of another, adds up, and goes a long way.

There are many rumors, stories, and fake news circulating. Some are good. Some are bad. And in some sense, this will always be the case. Regardless, we want to be more intentional about telling our story. Framing it clearly. And giving you the context to share it with others.

For the things we can address, we will. We’ll add context. Bring more clarity. Bring you closer to what we’re doing.

As you know, two weeks ago we opened a thoughts and feedback form to give you a clearer voice, and to get a better pulse on what’s top of mind for the community. We’ve listened. We’ve read your thoughts. And starting now, we’ll begin taking a few of those topics every couple of weeks to clarify and bring you closer.
