The AI Safety Voter Alliance (ASVA) exists to answer a simple question:
If the risks are real, how do ordinary people ensure that governments take action?
ASVA is a proposed, non-partisan civic organisation designed to give AI safety voters real political leverage.
It does three things:
History shows that politicians reliably respond to organised voters, even when those voters are a minority, provided that the signal is clear and credible.
The idea is not that most voters will become single issue voters on AI, but to create a serious minority that care deeply. In marginal constituencies, that minority will matter.
