2. How the Extension Works (Permissions and Data Access)

To perform its core function, the Extension requires permission to access the content of youtube.com pages. Here is a transparent explanation of how this permission is used:

• Accessing Page Content: The Extension needs to access the Document Object Model (DOM) of the YouTube page solely to find the video player element to control its playbackRate (playback speed) and to find the video title element to place the speed control UI next to it.
• Strictly Local Operation: All functionality and calculations are performed entirely within your local browser. Any page information the Extension interacts with is used only to make the feature work on that page and never leaves your computer. No data is ever sent to our servers or any third party.

The Extension does not use, create, or read any cookies.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share any data with third parties for the simple reason that we do not collect any data in the first place. The Extension does not include any third-party analytics tools or advertising SDKs.
