Zed is a challenger bank that’s helping young professionals in Southeast Asia and other emerging markets access credit responsibly and build habits for long-term financial success. This is an exciting opportunity to join an early stage team on a mission to fix a broken, trillion dollar banking system that has shut out the world's youngest and fastest growing consumer class.

About us

Our team is uniquely built to solve this problem. We are Stanford engineers and former YC founders that have spent our careers in banking, private equity and at hyper-growth startups (Facebook, Square, Box), and previously built and exited a fast-growing B2B payments company (Symple YC W'17).

We’re backed by amazing investors including Valar (Peter Thiel), Kunal Shah (Cred), Immad Akhund (Mercury), Doug Scherrer (Nubank), Dalton Caldwell (Y Combinator), Nafis Jamal (MoPub), Fathom Capital, Redo Ventures, among others.

About the job

We are a rapidly growing team that's looking for experienced engineers to join us as we scale Zed in our launch markets. You will be responsible for ensuring that we're building a scalable, performant foundation for future growth in our beta and beyond. You'll work closely with the two founders and our engineering team. You'll be working directly on core banking and payments infrastructure in order to make certain financial products more accessible, extensible and more cost-efficient to service.

Ideally, you have start-up and fintech experience, and are passionate about using technology to solve structural problems in financial services. We want to work with change-makers who work efficiently, collaboratively, and independently — and have fun while doing it!
