Help ambitious kids reach their full potential

Primer is the world's first community built for curious and ambitious kids to find and explore their interests together. Kids discover and deepen their passions on Primer by finding and connecting with like-minded peers. They work on projects together, share their work, give and receive feedback, inspire each other, and participate in live experiences.

Our goal is simple: help the next generation of kids be more ambitious, more creative, and learn to think for themselves. We believe that kids are remarkable — and that our current education system underestimates them. We take kids seriously.

Our team consists of parents, educators, engineers, and designers who have come together to build a new kind of education system. We have previously worked at companies like SpaceX, Square, Notion, Khan Academy, Airbnb, and Coinbase. We're well funded by many of the top investors in our industry, and are building a real business fueled by real revenue — not just venture capital.

Working at Primer

We have an office in SF (with so much natural light ☀️) near Tartine Manufactory, Bon Nene, and Sightglass Coffee! One of the highlights is this vintage baby grand piano. Depending on the day, you might hear someone playing Chopin or singing Hamilton.

Next to the piano, we have a little library that both the team and Primer kids contribute to!
