We are gathering this week to talk about money, our relationship to it, the assumptions we make about it, and our rapidly changing economy & marketplace.

This is your interactive conference guide.

While you're waiting for the gathering to begin, please complete our attendee survey.

If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected].

Come Prepared

This interactive conference guide is designed to help prepare you for our time together. In it, you'll find logistical information such as links to our online gathering spaces and information about our speakers.

You'll also find resources for priming your mind for what we're going to talk about together.

These are important pieces for having a great experience, of course.

But there's one more thing you need to do to prepare—and that is to come prepared to share and contribute to the conversation.

We are asking all of our attendees to come prepared to share the story of the first dollar they made in their business.

You might share this story during the welcome reception or in a breakout room while you get to know other attendees. You might share it in the chat during our opening remarks. It might come up during the integration session or during our closing activities.

It doesn't matter when or how you share this story—we just ask that you tell this story at some point during the event. Sharing these stories—seeing the similarities and the differences—will help us to get to know you as an individual and the group as a whole community.

Community Guidelines

The What Works Network & our events are:

✔️Collaborative: We don't give advice. We share our experiences & work together to find creative solutions. Our goal is to learn from each other and to learn together. We value the experience that every member brings to the table.

✔️Non-dogmatic: We don't ascribe to any particular framework, blueprint, or method for building a business. We focus on helping our members find what works for them, their families, and the communities they want to support.

✔️Inclusive: We welcome business owners from different industries, different business models, and different levels of experience. We value the experiences of business owners from marginalized communities and we're actively working to create a space that's welcoming to people from all backgrounds.

✔️Holistic: We honor the interconnectedness of entrepreneurship and leadership development. We respect (and encourage) the exploration of the ins & outs of marketing, management, sales, and product development alongside questions about mindset, personal development, and leadership.

✔️Contribution-driven: The more you bring to the table, the more the experience is customized to you. Share what you're exploring and learning so we can all benefit.

Our community team (Tara McMullin, Shannon Paris, and Kristen Runvik) works to communicate & uphold these values in action. If you see or experience a violation of these guidelines, please let us know by emailing [email protected].
