Water has a high electrical resistance, no “beep”
After adding salt into the water, no “beep”, but the screen shows number on this mode, lower resistance than water, higher conductivity!
Connect the black probe to the battery's ground or '-' and the red probe to power or '+'.
If I get it wrong, the displayed reading will be negative
using a 1V battery
