Role summary
The Financial Writer position is a unique opportunity to educate our employees, operating partners and investors by crafting compelling educational articles to be published internally and externally. This is a freelance role that can be completed remotely, or in-house. Hours and output are also flexible and can be tailored to suit.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with senior management and thought leaders to ideate, create and hone articles
- Use your excellent written communication skills to communicate on a wide array of financial and economic topics
- Assist in high-volume output to be used for internal and external educational purposes
- Effectively research unfamiliar financial topics leveraging online and firm resources
- Analyze financial media to identify influencers and trending topics
Required skills and experience
- 2+ years of commercial writing experience
- Ability to edit for clarity, grammar, spelling, consistency and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines with few revisions needed
- Experience working in financial services in any capacity
- Extreme attention to detail and love of the English language
- Basic understanding of SEO principles
- An ability to communicate complicated topics in simple, non-academic, interesting terms
