Vngle is a decentralized grassroots news network bringing “various angles” of local reality coverage to cities. We address the growing crisis of news deserts: areas where vast amounts of geographic or demographic matters go under-reported.
We help better engage cities through gig-economy video reporting and comprehensive front-pages that serve as a local aggregator. Think of us as like a wiki for reality, providing hyper-local cross-cultural coverage for the people by the people.
We believe society thrives when diverse perspectives are equally represented. To support that, communities need various angles of coverage on everything happening around them.

Through decentralized grassroots coverage we aim to be the most comprehensive source on cities. Though 2020 was a turburlent year, we used it to build the company. We worked with NYC Media Lab's NewsLab, Mozilla’s “Fix-the-Internet” Incubator, the Envision Accelerator, DivInc’s Social Justice Innovation Program, and WeWork.
