I. Program Summary

The Ethereum Audit Subsidy Program is a $1M initiative designed to lower barriers for Ethereum Mainnet projects seeking security audits from high-quality, pre-vetted auditors. We’re excited to launch alongside an Expert Commitee, responsible for assessing and allocating subsidies, comprised of leading minds from Ethereum Foundation, Chainlink Labs, and Nethermind Security.

Key Details:

• Launch: April 14th, 2026
• Application Window: Monthly cohorts, with a deadline to submit applications by the 14th of each month.
• Program Size: $1M
• Subsidy Determination: Projects will receive a subsidy based on the strength of their application and the estimated cost of their audit. The subsidy can be applied to any provider offer on the platform, covering up to 30% of the total audit cost.

The program operates a ‘virtual subsidy model’. Rather than drawing from a pool of capital, subsidies are funded through discounts provided directly by participating audit providers. Accepted projects receive a subsidy in a fixed dollar amount (for example, $10,000 or 30% of the total audit cost, whichever is lesser).

II. Process

The program is a joint initiative between leading audit firms, Ethereum Foundation’s Trillion Dollar Security Initiative, Chainlink Labs, Nethermind, and Areta Market as the infrastructure partner. Together, we are launching a $1M Audit Subsidy Program to make world-class security accessible to Ethereum projects of all sizes.
