About the role

We are seeking a talented, innovative and high impact Back-End Engineer(Next.JS, Node.js, Javascript, Typescript, Python, Artificial Intelligence, Git, Computer Vision) to join our technology team. We are looking for a passionate developer who can work across backend technologies to build robust, scalable backend systems, api interoperability platform applications.

The Back-End Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications serving individuals and businesses, working closely with product and design teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

• This role is fully Remote.
• Job Hours: 8am to 5pm

• Timezone is West Africa Time (WAT) UTC +1 and Central Standard Time (CST) UTC -6
• CST Timezone Requirements: 4 Hours overlap is required thrice weekly (Monday, wednesdays and thursdays) with (1pm to 5pm Houston, Texas, USA CST time) which is (7pm to 11pm Nigeria WAT time)
• Monthly Performance reviews are held every last Saturday's of the month

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid Level Backend Software Engineer with a strong background in Vue.Js and React to help us develop and maintain high-quality web applications.

• The ideal candidate should have at least 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in React, a solid understanding of JavaScript and Typescript, and a passion for building user-centric solutions.
• This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a skilled team, and contribute to the future of our technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related field
• Minimum of a 2:1 Degree in any field
• 2-5 years of proven experience as a Backend-End Engineer
• Strong proficiency in back-end technologies
• Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure or another
• Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, API Protocols: RESTful, GraphQL (preferred), Version Control: Git, GitHub/GitLab, Testing Tools: Jest, Mocha, Supertest, Infrastructure Tools: Docker, basic Kubernetes knowledge (preferred), CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab CI/CD, Messaging Systems: Google Pub/Sub (preferred), RabbitMQ, Kafka (bonus)
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Familiarity with version control system, preferably Git.
• Ability to work independtly and collaboratively in a fast-paced enviornment.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude

Desired

• Prior experience working in startups or fast-paced environments is a plus.
• Experience with Artificial intelligence, Computer Vision and Predictive Analysis

Compensation
