Groups and Queues
For teams handling a high volume of tasks that need to be performed by a specific group of people (e.g. IT service requests), Macro now supports group-based queues. Go to our brand-new team management page to set up your groups and then you'll be able to start adding tasks to their queues.
Task management support
Macro now supports the ability to track one-off tasks in addition to checklist-based procedures.
Member variables and variable task assignments
Member variables are useful in scenarios where you want to assign a task to a variable rather than a specific person. For instance, if you wanted some tasks in your checklist to be performed by an {{account_manager}}, you could configure a new field in the checklist's start form that identifies the {{account_manager}} and then use that variable as the default assignee for the relevant tasks.
Auto-handoffs
Notifications are now sent whenever Macro detects a handoff (i.e. the next task in the checklist is set to be performed by a different person).
Relative due dates based on variables
Relative due dates can now be set in relation to variables. For instance, if you were running a checklist that required work to be done on a relative schedule, you could now configure that timeline around a specific date (e.g. 3 days after {{move_in_date}}).
Design refresh for our Tracking tab
We are making a series of changes to improve our tracking tab so that it is easier to monitor and track the work that your team is doing. This design refresh is the first set of changes we are making here.
