The Uniswap community has come a long way over the past year. We've all come together, often times galvanized by a proposal or enthralled by a hackathon workshop and presentation. Uniswap has never been more active with biweekly community calls, technical office hours, scam protectors and avengers!

In acknowledging how much the Uniswap ecosystem thrives off the support of one another, for Wave 5, we were excited to create a new category of grantmaking in Governance Support. Additionally, providing new onramps for participation through increased community and sponsorship support.

While an improved developer experience continues to be a top priority for UGP, the groundswell of excitement for increased engagement of community members is hard to ignore.

• Existing grantees like the BEN MetaDelegates, Polywrap, Valve Finance, Timothy Luke, and Josh Stevens continue to expand the scope of their projects as their own respective communities grow with more requests and additions.
• New projects such as Messari Hub, Station, and Robotics For All establish onramps for a new demographic of users, lowering the barrier for meaningful participation and engagement of tradfi analysts, web2 devs, and high schoolers respectively.
• The new Governance category was established out of a collective activation of enthusiastic grassroots UNI gov participants. This has already birthed the UNI biweekly newsletter, governance twitter bot for snapshot live feeds and proposals, as well as plans to improve communications and accessibility of discourse from governance champions.
