On Oct 26, 2019, Canadians marched in support of universal basic income. We joined 27 other cities around the world to take part in the largest ever basic income march ever!
March attendees gathered in front of the Ontario Legislative Assembly, where they heard keynote speeches from 6 leading advocates of basic income in Canada:
- Jessie Golem, former Ontario Basic Income recipient and creator of Humans of Basic Income
- Hugh Segal, OC OOnt, former Senator and legendary champion of basic income
- Chris Ford, CEO of Capco Canada, a leading business and technology management consultancy
- Floyd Marinescu, CEO of C4Media and Executive Director of UBI Works
- Alvin Tedjo, Leadership Candidate for the Ontario Liberal Party
- Bonnie North, Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Ontario
