SOC teams everywhere are drowning in noise. They’re buried in alerts, chasing false positives, and wasting precious time that should be spent stopping real attackers. The biggest choke point? Detection rules. Done badly, they kill efficiency. Done well, they unlock SOCs to focus on threats that matter.
We’re building Ruleforge to fix this problem - and we’re looking for someone obsessed enough to help us make it happen. Backed by TryHackMe (900+ companies, 5M+ users), you’ll have the brand, distribution, and credibility to take this to market fast. You’ll have full ownership to shape the product and scale the company, working directly with the TryHackMe founders.
Why this is different
- Speed & intensity - We don’t move slow. We’ll be shipping constantly, pushing product into customer hands every day.
- Distribution advantage - TryHackMe is already in the hands of millions of practitioners and hundreds of companies. We’ll build for them, with them.
- Deep security DNA - Our team knows this space inside out - both from building for it and working in it.
What’s in it for you
- Personal & Professional growth - This will be one of the hardest, most rewarding things you’ll ever do. You’ll come out sharper, faster, and capable of running anything - whether it’s another startup or a C-Suite role.
- A+ team - Work with founders who bootstrapped and scaled a profitable global company. Build and hire your own world-class team.
- Real ownership - Equity, autonomy, and the chance to run day-to-day execution from the ground up.
Who we’re looking for
- Obsessed and all-in - You’ll have to work the hardest you’ve ever worked, this includes long nights and weekends. If this is not something you’re willing to do, this isn’t for you
- Proven in high-intensity environments - Ex-founder, early-stage 0→1 operator, or someone forged in consulting/banking pace.
- SaaS/tech native - You have a good understanding of the tech landscape by working in, with or for tech companies
What the journey looks like
- Short term - Get an MVP into customer hands, land early sales, and drive to product-market fit with $1M seed funding from TryHackMe.
