it was another early morning - we had to be on the bus by 7:30am. the bus ride was 3.5 hours long. about halfway through, i almost lit the bus on fire trying to charge my phone. when i plugged my cord in, smoke immediately erupted from the outlet. i ripped my cord out and started freaking out. everything was okay though, because the smoke stopped when i took my cord out. however, now my phone charger is broken. after the bus, we had a 1-hour boat ride. they didn’t take my suitcase for some reason (like they did for everyone else), so i had my suitcase with my backpack on top of it in my leg space and had to sit crisscross in the seat the whole time. then, an italian man sat next to me, manspreading, schlumped, stealing my armrest, snoozin’. i journaled for a little while before taking a nap. when we got off the boat, we took an hour long bus ride. we got to the hotel (which is my favorite place we’ve stayed so far) and went to the beach right away. this beach is right in front of our hotel, so it’s really close. it’s also a rocky beach, which i prefer to a sandy one. i collected rocks and sea glass (of course). chad cooked dinner for us - pasta and salad - and it was delicious. afterwards, we went on a walk on the beach and got gelato.
