What is Gather/Town
Gather**.**town is a web-conferencing software like Zoom, but with the added component of seeing the virtual βroomβ you and others are occupying, and with the ability to move around and interact with other participants based on your locations in the room, just like real life.
Weβre using Gather.town to host the TKShowcase so you can walk around and interact with the projects made by our ambitious teens!
Map Structure
The Map has five main spaces with work embedded throughout.
- Meet + Mingle - this is free space to have conversations and discussions. The private spaces can be used for specific conversations like sitting at tables in real life
- Challenges - this room has consulting challenges students completed with WHOOP, a fitness wearable company, and with the United Nations on gender parity in digital economy.
- Moonshots - final projects in TKS where all students design a 10x better future with exponential technology and science
- Hackathons - featured projects from 24 hour idea sprints on exponential technologies, such as brain computer interfaces, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and more
- Focus projects + personal websites - a selection of individual projects students worked on throughout the accelerator
