Oasis is a synthetic reality social app focused on meeting new people & making new friends. Our mission is to allow people to feel psychologically safe enough to be who they really are so that they can be emotionally present with each other. Our product connects users via photo-real avatars over a synthetic video chat network. Our radical technology eliminates camera anxiety, reduces people's social inhibitions & make live streaming a dick pic impossible (it happens). In the Oasis, you are encouraged to express yourself by creating multiple personas, each with its own identity, interests & social network.

The patent-pending Oasis network uses 100x less bandwidth than traditional video chat because we've invented a neural network that can synthesize a video chat in realtime on the receiver's smartphone without ever sending pixels over the internet.

Due to the minimal bandwidth needs of our network, Oasis makes a new kind of video chat accessible to the billions of people on earth who lack broadband internet.

We are hiring a Product Engineer (iOS) as employee #7 to collaborate with our AI, backend & design teams to architect & create a mind blowing iOS experience for users.

This is a remote position open to candidates located in North America. In lieu of an office, we host monthly “onsites” at travel destinations like Lake Tahoe & Laguna Beach, at least when there's not a pandemic.

Responsibilities

• Build a highly secure, world-class iOS app using Swift & Objective-C
• Create mind blowing user experiences
• Integrate neural networks models running CoreML
• Listen to users & contribute product ideas
• Work closely with product design, backend engineers, AI team
• Test app across variety of devices
