Introduction

The Roll ("we", "our", or "the app") is a shared photo experience for groups. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect

Account & Profile Data

When you create an account, we collect:

• Display name - Used to identify you within rolls
• Profile photo - Used to represent you to your crew
• Anonymous user identifier - Generated by our authentication system to link your data

This data is stored securely on our servers (Supabase, hosted in the European Union).

Content You Create

• Photos - Photos you take within the app are uploaded to and stored on our servers until the roll is deleted
• Roll names - The titles you give your rolls
• Reactions - Emoji reactions you leave on photos

Device & Notification Data

If you grant permission, we collect your device's push notification token to send you notifications such as roll reveals and crew activity. This token is stored on our servers and is tied to your account, not to any personal identifier.

Analytics Data

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app. This includes:
