About Places

‘Places’ - cafes, restaurants, parks, museums - are at the heart of travel.

We think of them as the atomic unit of Thatch. Whether you’re constructing a day trip, neighborhood guide, weekend getaway, or itinerary for a two-week trip, places are your building blocks.

For that reason, we made Places in Thatch have two unique properties:

• Customizable: Every piece of a Place can be controlled by you, from its name, cover photo, description, links, and more. The more you customize your places, the more they reflect your unique take on them.
• Reusable: Every place you add can be used in unlimited ways - and all the details you added through customization come with the Place each time it gets used. This saves you tons of time as you build out content that is uniquely yours.
