There’s the old saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” Nor should jobseekers be judged by a single piece of paper. Bio

Your bio is your opportunity to introduce yourself to employers and set the scene for the rest of your profile to come. We recommend keeping bios fairly short and snappy - Between 3 and 5 sentences is usually a good balance between giving employers the key information about you and not scaring them off with a wall of text right away.

  1. Spelling and grammar are key - This is true for your whole profile but especially the bio. Do not undermine all your hard work and talent with poor spelling and grammar. Proofread it, proofread it again and then ask someone else to proofread it for you!
